Legend

A = (H) - Current soil height on exterior wall.

AS = Anchor Spacing
B = .5 H AL = Anchor Load
          PLF(AS)
C = 36H AD = Minimum Anchor Design
         AL (1.5 or 2)
P S F = 36H
P L F = C [(A+B)/2]

Wall Design Examples
1. H = A = 8 Ft             B = .5 (H) = .5 (8) = 4               C = 36(H) = PSF = 36(8) = 288 PSF
    PLF = C [(A+B)/2] = 288 [98+4)/2] = 288(6) = 1728 PLF
    AS = 6 ft
    AL = PLF (AS) = 1728(6) = 10,368 LBS
    AD = AL(2) = 10,368(2) = 20,736 LBS (Minimum anchor design for tension)

* Note
To acheive A.D. install above anchor to 2,000 ft. lbs of torque for three times the diameter of the lead helix.  e. 10" helix x 3 = 30"
Consult T.I.M. guide or fluid pressure conversion chart of driver manufactor to calculate est. torque.  Also, example assumes a multiplier of 10 is applied to torque for A.D.
2. A = 9 FT       b = .5 (9) = 4.5     C = 36 (9) = 324 PSF
    PLF = 324 [ (9+4.5)/2] = 324(6.75) = 2187 PLF
    AS = 6 FT.     AL = 2187 (6)   = 13,122      AD = 13,122(2)  =    26,244
