Foundation Support Options

There are currently three underpinning solutions available for repairing foundation settlement:

  • concrete piers,
  • hydraulically driven piers,
  • and helical (screw) piers.

Each have their own unique structural and economic advantages as well as disadvantages.  Most local companies offer only one as a solution for your foundation settlement problems. Often times, this means that you are being offered a solution that best suits their needs, not yours!

three options

Pier MastersSM offers all three foundation support systems to repair existing settled structures and helical piering for new construction sites. But most importantly we offer you the tool that best suits your needs and many times our products used in combination with each other, depending on your needs.

The repair requirements for each structure is unique because of the underlying subsoil, access to area of repair, and load requirements that differ from foundation to foundation.

To determine which system best supports your foundation and supports it as economically as possible we do field engineering before hand. Here are just a few of the steps we take for you!

1. We analyze the construction of the structure

2. Determine foundation load requirements

3. Research probable subsoil

4. Prepare and analysis of site conditions

5. Using engineers transit, accurately measure amount of settlement.

Most importantly, we inquire with you about your knowledge of the foundation history. This ground work enables us to select the right support products for your foundation.

Most companies would not include this type of analysis. With Pier MastersSM, this is just the start. During installation we monitor and estimate each pier's capacity until it reaches our designed limits and depth to rock or stable load bearing soil. We then test each pier individually and collectively to insure that they perform as designed. And, Pier MastersSM prides itself in specializing in lifting settled structures, the true test of Pier performance. We back this performance with a limited life time warranty.

As the rains of 1993 made us all aware, not all foundation problems are related to settlement. Many homes suffered from push-in walls to wet basements. For push-in walls, Pier MastersSM offers helical tie-backs to support foundation walls. As with our other foundation support products, we measure load demands, monitor capacities during installation, and finally we test it to prove it. We also specialize in realigning walls to restore them to their original position.

For waterproofing, we offer interior and exterior tile systems, grading, and epoxy injection for crack repair. All installed to our strict standards of performance.
